After a fruitful discussion with my group mate in the afternoon, we realize we are most interested in writing technologies associated with the internet. In this case, the social media aspect of internet writing technologies appealed to us most, and we would like to research more about this area.
We believe the advent of social media has transformed the way students communicate non-verbally on a daily basis. We then conjecture that social media, consequently, influenced the development of students’ writing ability. So, for this research paper, we would like to investigate and discuss specifically the impacts of Facebook on students’ writing ability. In this research paper, we would possibly discuss the merits and the demerits of Facebook in affecting students’ development of writing skills, and synthesize the arguments and evidence from different positions to reach a conclusion.
